Remanufactured Buick Lecerne engines for sale

Buick decided to introduce the Lucerne for the 2006 model year, replacing the long running Park Avenue and LeSabre models. Still in it’s first generation, having a front wheel drive arrangement, only 4 engines have been made available so far. Remanufacturedenginesforsale.com recommends, and stocks correctly prepared remanufactured Buick Lucerne engines for sale, ready for shipment.

Let me remind you that this is a front wheel drive car. It uses a proven setup called transverse mounting, which means that the engine and transmission are bolted together and mounted sideways under the hood. Many people are familiar with this setup because almost every front wheel drive vehicle uses this system.

From 2006 until 2008 2 motors were offered. The standard engine is a 3.8 liter V6 [L26] 232 cubic inches, or 3800cc [cubic centimeters]. Called a series 3 version of the 3800, it is naturally aspirated, which simply means it does not use a turbocharger or supercharger. It is an excellent engine and was one f the finalists for engine of the year in 2007.

Also, from 2006 to 2008 the Northstar engine was available. Called the Nothstar LD8 V8 engine, it is 4.6 liters in size, or 279 cubic inches. The LD8 engine is a “Y” code in the VIN [vehicle identification number], the eighth digit in the VIN. For front wheel drive cars only. It was used in the Lucerne CXS model. A super high performance luxury version of the car.

From 2008 until current times a different 4.6 liter Northstar engine was used. Called the Northstar L37 model engine, it had 17 more horsepower from more advanced technology. The L37 code had been used on all high-output transverse/front wheel drive Northstars. It’s quite competitive with some of the European high performance luxury cars.

The last engine offered in 2009 and newer models is a 3.9 liter GM V6 engine, sometimes called a GM3900. The uses very modern technology like VCT [variable cam timing] and a more efficient [intake] breathing system for more power, better economy and better comfort.

The first thing everyone wants to know is how much does a remanufactured engine cost. That’s a fair question. The thing you have to consider is the cost per lifespan is extremely low on remanufactured engines. The actual cost: dollars to miles is lower than any other engine choice. Which makes our remanufactured engine the best value anywhere.
